Agile Factory Digitalization Ridge

For years, factory digitalization followed a predictable path. A sensor here, a PLC there, data flowing upward through the automation pyramid until it reached an MES or ERP system. The problem was that this architecture, while stable, created silos. Each layer spoke its own protocol, stored data in its own format, and answered to its own team. When a company wanted to respond quickly to a line stoppage or a quality drift, the data they needed was trapped inside those silos.
